This looks fantastic. The only downside is that I only know two things about modeling: jack and squat, and I forgot jack. What kind of undertaking would it be to learn how to throw boxes together in a modeling program, and is there a free, legal way to do it?

I also don't know what to do with an amf file or how to get it into a map, but I trust that would come later.

Are you going to make that map you drafted in the old modding discussion forum?

On expecting Blamlib opensauce to allow map creation I got hold of a 3DS max 08 demo (in 2011) and a "yek neg" trying to install wouldn't work saying demo time is over, so I changed my sytem clock back to 2008 and magic it worked, I think you can torrent everything you need

Captain, use Blender or any of these 16 http://www.textureszone.com/tutorials/4 ... -cost.html. What I did with tortuga was spawn massive mesh models that were UV mapped that could be built with squares, and then I spawned the squares. It looks like the spawning of squares now is incredible easy, and it looks so easy that I hope it can be done as easily as I think it can be done.

My Norton keeps removing this app so could someone build the boxs in headlong and use the app with a 3ds model ill post, its just a simple city map made from boxs. But i need it built in headlong because the mechanics of the airlift work best in that map.

You could just replace norton with AVG or AVAST... Just a suggestion.

Dark, I need a tutorial for this thing man. I've been trying to get it working for hours and it hasn't been going. It gives me this error each time: Index was out of range. Must be a non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

This is what I did: I made my map with boxes in 3ds max, I ran the script, and added the collision boxes to my map with entity, and added chunks and placed each collision box in the correct palette and then ran your program and then clicked the .amf and set my placements from 0-8 and it gave me this error. Any ideas?

Do you have any extended info (as to which function it was in when the crash occured)? Makes it alot easier to track stuff down.
Possibly names incorrect?

Okay, thanks for asking. I FINALLY got the boxes to spawn, but the coords were all fucked up and the sizes were fucked up. What's the next step?

Okay, it mainly looks like the coords are just really bad. The sizes look a little off but not that big of a deal at this point. I'm using 3ds max 7 too.
