I've found a lockout map for the beta clicky but i think it's modded because there's a mongoose in the green room and the desintegrator on the top middle.

Also I found a weird midship map that is basically a box map and basing off this youtube video it's the box_multiplayer.map

I can send you both of them if you'd like on aim.

Upgraded the Halo 2 Scenario Launcher, made it more flexible. Added Lockout!

I've never play the beta before, should be fun
Also, it makes for a good stress test of Yelo Neighborhood lol

That depends how soon your talking, its out till the end of June but after that I wont be able to use it till August.

Well that was fun, it was cool seeing all the small differences that only someone who really knows the game would notice...
I had a go with the mongoose, flamethrower and disintegrator, they were all terrible lol
Also, good job on Nova btw click.

Thanks. I do like the mongoose model. The flamethrower is crap, but the disintegrator was obviously replaced by sentinel beam for range.

What does the disintegrator do? The sentinel beam wasn't very popular in multiplayer, from what I recall. A shorter range, more powerful sentinel beam might be decent though.

Yes Nova is amazing, was fun modding the maps (: Also we need to patch the mainmenu because I cannot seem to get the custom loader you made to work.

You may remember me from an earlier post and I got a new Xbox. I can now play the Halo 2 Beta and let me tell you, it sure is fun. I have three questions, however.

1. How do you play on Lockout?
2. Did you ever get box_multiplayer.map from supersniper?
3. How do you change the blank text under beta build? (Tried your instructions, wouldn't start the game)

If you can't answer one, don't worry about it. Thanks!

To play on lockout, rename it to a different map name, force load it with debug, or wait for me to setup a mainmenu mod. That box multiplayer map is a renamed shared map. The text is at a certain point in the XBE, it can be changed with a Hex editor. I'll get the Address for you... Its at 0x4E8E1C (go to that offset in hex) the name is 13 characters long, fill the remaining with spaces.

I saw it in a video once and I'm asking you because you seem to have a lot of knowledge about the Halo 2 Beta. If you know the answer, that would be great!

It would be done the same way as you would with Halo 2 Retail (at least I think there is). There is a tag block int the Scnr tag that will control the maps that appear in the main menu. The names, descriptions can all be edited with a Meta editor, given it has correct plugins. I haven't worked on Halo 2 Beta plugins in a while, but if anyone wants to help you're welcome to.
