I have seen many people play this. Do I patch the SinglePlayer maps then put them into my maps folder and select from MP mainmenu?

Did I do something wrong, for some reason everyone is considered an ally in the Cairo Station patch.

Also, how did you make it so weapons didn't dissapear, perhaps by nulling the havok clean up?

Start a team slayer game, then you'll be able to change which team you player for.

I think I know what happened, I believe I may have closed the patcher utility before it finished the patch.
Also, on MPC Cairo Station, only players who play as spartans seem to benifit from the invinciblity, players playing as elites still die. My own fix for the respawn problem was to make a team slayer mode with only one life per player.

Extreme apologies for the month and a day bump. I have to know...

I really appreciate this outstanding mod.

I think that the bugs can be beneficial. I think that you should work for your weapons, so as long as you can kill for your weapons that's fine. I also like the idea of 1 life before you die, no infinite health. If i want infinite health I'll enable it in yelo. I want to know what I should edit in order to get rid of the infinite health and ammo.

This would be simply awesome.

MPC was pretty much abandoned after low enthusiasm post-release.

I believe that a program and tutorial was released that would assist in creating MPC maps.
Should you want to create your own map, it's quite simple.

Mystery, application created by Xzodia to assist in the creation of MPC maps.

MPC Tutorial, tutorial created by neodos on how to use Mystery to create MPC maps.

If you have any questions, I'd suggest looking in the tutorial thread, as it appears that questions were asked and answered, and you may have the same question.

Yeah I may create some maps but for now I just want to play through the campaign with a few people through system link. Is this easy to do?

Edit: Read through the tut, yeah its a little complicated. I'll have to closely look into this...

Should be. I can't remember a lot of specifics. The maps we're actually pretty glitchy and whatnot. I'd suggest playing with invincibility or else some crazy things happen, due to spawn points being out of whack.

Also, I can't remember if this converts a BSP or a whole map. Most maps are made of 4/5 BSPs, so you may only be able to play for a small portion of the map before it ends.

I'd suggest talking to Xzodia; he'd know more than I do.

The maps are not that glitchy, just get invincibility so the another players that dies don't get stuck in the first spawn(which is located on first BSP) and if you are on second first is not loaded, you'd get stuck outside of the second bsp or use Yelo to teleport them (you'll have to go back to last bsp).

You can go through all the level and kill everything, the only "glitchy" things are stuff that are not sycn on syslink such as scripts(which is why i made the newmombasa MPC after destroy 2 wraith in front of the unsc outpost, before you jump on the scarab, non host players wouldn't see scarab animation and without collision ), or aiming at allies as if they were enemies(red reticle), sometimes jackal fighting elites and grutns, since in multiplayer it uses team colors to define the team, just had to switch their team ont he scnr ai.

I have a bunch of patchs of MPC in progress, i don't know which one works, which one is slc, you would need to test to make sure its slc, i also have the list of progress for each map, i am gonna upload an dpost it here for you if you are intrested in making more mpc maps.

You'll just have to patch the maps, but as i said i have many versions of each i don't know at which point which patch is for fully done map and which not, but if you're gonna play this syslink, test it and then organise someday so everyone comes to play.

Edit i am uploading patches, here's the progress list, note that at step 8 its playable syslink without bugs, the "edited ai" is just about making ai harder.

Hey thanks for posting the patches! :) I'll have to test the maps out to see how they work on system link.
So you want me to check which patches are compatiable with system link? It looks like all but two levels are compatiable or am I wrong? I'll check it out...

by the way how bad are these sync problems? Could I still play campaign through system link? Or do these sysnc problems prevent that...

Its no big deal, only on a few levels some machines doesn't work fine, but most map just work fine.

I take it you need the Yelo1.5 Trainer? I'll grab that quick...

Tried the spacestation level and the marines were firing at me. How do I get around this problem. Its actually as if I can't even kill them.

Like I said the first three levels are the only ones that have been patched and that work. I believe it might be because the map "lockout" is right after gasgiant...which might have thrown it off. Can someone take out the level lockout and finish the mainmenu (with dothalo) and maybe then I can test the patched levels after gasgiant without problems (because they may work... but the level lockout shouldn't be in there. What do you guys think?

By they way I am using the mainmenu patch...
Neodos do you have AIM/MSN?

Anyone know if the mainmenu is the problem?? Because I patched deltaaproach and loaded it up in another slot on the menu and it worked.

Sure, I'll test it out shock. Just looked at the mainmenu and none of the scenarios look wrong. Hmm, do you know if all the patches work with system link? I guess you said you have 9 working. By any chance would you mind releasing those patches, so I can cut to the chase rather than fishing through Neodos's patches. I'll continue to test them out though..

Okay, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. If you want me to test them when they are done I can do that too, if you want. But yeah they must not have been the newer ones, since 50% work and 50% don't. I still have I think two more to test...

I have got the maps i have on my HDD an tested each one, see if it loaded or freeze, not sure if all are slc fixed though, i named each patch file with a number in the end which indicated at which step of the fix it was (as posted on the first page)

In some maps since we use yelo you might need to use the yelo button combos to switch camera back to first person when you start the game, this only happens if you are using yelo, just switch to first person with yelo.

The Arbiter...>04a_gasgiant (?) [Loads] - but if i remember correctly on syslink there's a problem when it switches of bsp for non host

Oracle...>04b_floodlab (?) [Loads] - should work, except maybe for the part where after a cinematic (which i nulled out) you are directly teleported inside a banshee, the host will be but i don't know about non host

Delta Halo...>05a_deltaaproach (?) [Loads] - works great, when it ends you might wanna press A button so it skips the cinematic, or so, seems like i didn't removed it totaly, well it its but it flash-white the screen and only ends game until you press A

Regret...>05b_deltatowers (Never?) [No] - got it loading but there was just plasma grenades freezing on explosion

Quarantine Zone...>06b_floodzone (?) [Loads] - works perfect, i just forgot or couldn't remove the ending cinematic



High Charity 07b_forerunnership [Loads] this one loads but at some point freeze you might wanna get rid of the flood spore which may cause the freeze

Uprising...>08a_deltacliffs (Never?) [No] This one i can't remember why but if i didn't do it possibly was problems making it mpc

So tell which work on system link and i'll try to fix slc at least.

Oracle...>04b_floodlab (?) [Loads] - Loaded one player outside bsp and the other inside the bsp. Spawn point was outside bsp. I have tried your scripted patch yet...
Delta Halo...>05a_deltaaproach (?) [Loads] - Froze on me upon load (not sure why i couldn't get this working)
Quarantine Zone...>06b_floodzone (?) [Loads] - Froze on me about 5 min in, loaded very well though
High Charity 07b_forerunnership [Loads] but you don't start with a weapon, then it freezes very shortly
