Hey guys. Some one asked me to set this up for them, and I went ahead and made an attachable troop back end.

Here are some pictures:

I would expect the cage to be a little.....bigger, would also be nice if someone would want to attach a new cage model to the original warthog model ;)

What all comes in the file, i'll download once i know.
Is it just the model?
or is it a Tag/Patch that adds this as an Attachment to the hog HLMT?

And if i wanted to add the lights should i just clone markers on the Hog Model and put them where the lights are on the attachment?

hahahaha, I'm glad some else made this. I made this a while ago but it wasn't nearly as cool as this one.

The cage seems small because master chief is 7ft tall and the marines are like 5ft tall. Looks good but I think it needs some fake lighting added to it, like uv map it and put gradients on the corners of it to give it almost a shiny look without the shine. And giving it that warthog green color will work as well. Or you could make it look attached to the roll cage part of the warthog.

BTW, I don't think the warthog is meant to have passengers in the back, it just never looks right.

Thats why i said it would look better if someone remodeled the warthog for that function.

remodeling to hog to be longer is easier said than done. you would have to move bones and markers to make the wheels go back in place...that is if you planned on stretching the "entire" hog not just adding two or three feet to the back of it (we all know how stupid that would look...) and DFire you are more than capable of doing this yourself...i actually would like to see what you could do with remodeling the hog to accomodate back seat passengers

This fall once i get my new pc, ill be attenmpting new, more complex, and time consuming models. As right now i am computer limited to my single core lappy, it doesnt have the juice for the stuff i need to do. Plus right now its in need of a recovery :(

Well here is what i would do to make it look more troop-like...

1) Remodel the back end to be a wider cage.
2) Model some rear tire fenders that cover the wheels, maybe have the biped's legs sitting out of the warthog so to have more room...

Actually just to make this all better, ill try and make a troop vehicle or halo strike, i already have a jeep done, maybe i can make a replica and stretch the back end a bit?

BTW, not by me found it here

Also we can NOT Inject Bone data with models, at this time.

We might as well make a APC like a "Light" APC... made of attachments of course.

Could you possibly have a new patch of your havoc map with this added to it?.

Damn well even it being as old as it is i still think its cool even though i own halo 3 and got all of the map packs, personally i think halo 2 would be great for halo 3 mods. Seeing havoc and evocoagulation as they are i liked them and was the only mod that i actually spent time in playing and getting others to play, but anyways i like the work keep it up.

Well if you can, find it or rebuild a new one perhaps try and get it on a smaller map maybe midship, map always looked like a future halo 3 map or so from what i heard what bungie is going to add to there new map pack for halo 3
