Wow Doorman, nice :D

I (almost) totally agree, and think that your life should be what you want it to be :)

Thanks man! I do appreciate that compliment. I'm going to have to add on to this soon. I feel it may have some dust on it from a while ago.

Here's a good Key to Success, don't tell yourself "I'll do it later." I've done that so many times and it's messed me up so much you won't even believe it. There's a few things in my daily life that would seem like normal tasks that people could do without any other thoughts going through their mines yet for me everyday I always bump into that "What if?" question, or "Why didn't I do this earlier?"

That "I'll do it later" attitude became part of who I am now and I'm trying to remove it every day I can. I wasn't going to even write this but I caught myself and said "I'm doing it." It might not seem like much but I'm hoping that one day I can just snap myself out of this train of thought and just do things right as I think of them, or make a plan that I'll do it as soon as possible, but doing that can sometimes make you wish you did it earlier.

I was recently shown this poem, "Desiderata":

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

This bump is to let you all know that I am going to be updating this soon. My hope is to put these things in perspective 3-4 years later, and if others feel like they want to contribute somethings they've come across, we can compile some things we've learned since this was posted.

I just want to say what has been working for me, "Just do it" and "Do it right the first time." If you want to do something do it as soon as possible, and when you do do it, be prepared to do it right.
Example, as soon as you see a project you would like to try, start researching it at that moment, don't rush it, but don't wait until the next day because you might forget about it.
