Well, most well written programs are compatible with Windows 7. When I first installed it, the colors were very wacky. I knew at first it was my graphic driver. So I downloaded the Windows 7 beta graphic driver. Make sure your graphic card manufacturer has a Windows 7 graphic driver before installing!I had a little trouble installing Adobe products, Visual Studio, and .NET Framework. And AIM is barely compatible. It crashes a lot. The pro version seems to work the best. I have yet to see the decreased boot times. It boots slower in my opinion. Shutdown times are improved. Overall performance is smooth. And it just feels like a modern operating system. If any of you have anymore questions, let me know and I will try to answer them. :)

I think it boots faster. I haven't used too many applications on it, but haven't had any serious issues with any of the ones I have used. I don't use IE8, but it is pretty cool on how it works with windows 7 taskbar.

I don't think my Dell boot screen likes Windows 7. When the boot screen is supposed to load the OS, it seems to freeze for about ten seconds until loading the "Starting Windows" screen.

That's possible, I'm on a dell laptop and it has no waiting period. Maybe yours just doesn't like it.

I'm liking the Royale theme that I got for Ubuntu, it's nice and familiar. I'm really liking windows 7 too, but I won't post pictures of that.

Yeah, Windows 7. I wish I could keep the beta... it's extremely stable. I love it.

I do believe you can Duel boot. I was talking to someone who had 7 and XP on his computer. I could be mistaken tho.

What are you talking about? Do you mean install an operating system after it? I installed ubuntu after installing windows 7 if that's what you mean, but Ubuntu uses another boot loader, so it might be different.

Are you telling us that we can't install vista and choose which os to boot from? Then that entire week of installing vista as a secondary os never existed?
