Is it this?
Sorry for the terribly small image. I couldn't find another shot.

Awesome, Ogrish. It looks like the stairway to a courthouse or library.

Re: Official Halo 2 Modeling and Rendering Thread
I actually believe it's a bit mediocre tbh. It's nothing quite special since it's mainly just a bunch of bevels and extrusions (yay Bungie, but that's part of the reason why I chose their weapons; they're simple). I'd really like to get to character modeling. Damn you, Neodos, for showing me that Alessandro guy.
I don't actually know where to find a decent sub-dividing tutorial that really covers the basics so you don't butcher anything. If I find the video I watched, I'll gladly share.

Before doing character modeling do a lot of human anatomy drawing really and always work with references

I already do, the better you can draw anatomy the better your character modeling will be, just to get the proportion of your characters right is the basic thing for a character mode, then understanding and knowing muscle anatomy helps for the shape.
I wouldn't throw in too much polygons for a character though start with a very rough mesh and you smooth step by step as you add detail.

Neodos, I just noticed that link you edited into your post and it really makes me want to pursue some kind of career in 3D-design.
Minor updates.

That has awesomeness written all over it.

@ Dark:
That's very well done, but there is something about it I dislike, maybe it's just the way it was rendered.
@Ogrish
If you are still working on that map, I wouldn't mind helping with the mesh, that would take minutes to do in Hammer.

Re: Official Halo 2 Modeling and Rendering Thread
3D design is so much fun
I might start back into weapon and vehicle modeling again, sadly I prolly won't use a h2x based or convertable program, as the one I use is mainly for machining.
Thinking about starting a new series out of the thought of just combining some standard weapons and adding a few extras to them.
I did like my Energy series though, those were cool.

Re: Official Halo 2 Modeling and Rendering Thread
Hey nice! I remember you gave me the model, though didn't I had the time to uvmap it, I hope you didn't unwarp it with the model being triangulated as you sent me, that's a pain in the ass.
I though I could finish it in time, but no so it ended up without much story to it, i was going to add some holograms around Auntie Dot :/
Well I guess its ok, I did all from nothing in 3 days so it didn't come out that bad but i am not so happy with it, glad it got on the update tough.
I wasn't going for originality, its pretty clear that simplicity + originality > technicaly good, but i wanted a challenge, doing that in 3days its kinda tuff and I am using this for my portfolio eventually.
Right now modeling a masterchief for the next Bungie All stars, still at an early stage though.

Wow, that was your submission? Nice work! I thought that one was particularly excellent.
As for MC, what's the criteria for the 3rd All Star contest?

Thanks =)
Create an artwork showcasing what masterchief would look like without his helmet.
Don't worry that's not really his head, just a base, i gotta bring it to Zbrush for sculpting and painting later on.
Edit: dun dun dun will I have enough time to finish before the deadline?

Also not going for masterchief's armor design, really didn't feel like copying one.
