Haven't worked with hi-poly stuff in a while.

Definitely things to fix.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news as it looks good, but your name is spelt with a "k", not a "ch"

Yeah it doesn't make much sense actually.

I started using "Chrono" instead of "Krono" because the logo I designed for "Chrono Designs" worked well with a "C" and "D".

Not "K" and "D" :p

So I have been wanting to model a custom puzzle, so I made a 3x3x3 Core version of the existing Rubik's Tower.

Getting back into modeling. Kind of a sloppy/boring model but I'm trying to avoid floaters and the results really are worth it.

Anyone here go to art school that can critique it? Dark? Neodos?

Lol art school? I dropped out of high school sophomore year! Seems kinda wide in some areas, other then that... It looks really great Zach.

Thanks man. Haha I wasn't looking for anyone who had a fancy degree, I meant anyone who had practiced with this stuff before. I know Neodos takes/took classes on this high-poly business.

I'm glad we both agree on the width, it did feel wide. The model's a bit different now (only slightly), and I doubt I'll touch it anymore. I've been meaning to get this into an engine (probably Custom Edition, thanks to the new rendering techniques available), but I've never been good at making low-poly-versions and baking. Just can't get the hang of it.

Nice work Zach! I love playing with 3DSMax, but you've got quite a few legs up on me.

Those look pretty good!

You'd need to make a lowpoly and bake the maps to see how well it works for realtime though, I have no idea what the triangle budget is for models in Halo 2, probably pretty low to nowadays standards hehe.

Idk, I remember working with click on a G36C rifle and it had like 30K polygons per piece and it worked just fine.
