The program is going to be optimized for different OS's to ensure compatibility. Windows 7 and Windows Vista Without Desktop Composition will run a Similar GUI Based on the Windows Aero Map Editor.
Windows XP: Index Map Editor (Simple)
Windows Vista / 7 No Desktop Comp.: Index Map Editor (Complex, No Aero Features)
Windows Vista / 7 Desktop Comp.: Index Map Editor (Complete with Aero Features)
The Last picture with the map editor on Basic is NOT going to be what it looks like. It is just showing how it is not optimized for Windows Basic.
