What is the flood name?

The carrier flood? the flood that explodes when you shoot it?

If it's that, it freeze because the effect spawns some char, null the effects on it's hlmt i guess.

I use to have working flood infections, null all the effe's in the bipd's hlmt if i remember correctly. I dont remember but you have to null all the effe's in one of thier tags. Good Luck!
