I'm happy to see all the replies. I know how it is. I started trying to do a Remnant mainmenu, but haven't had a chance to test anything yet. Knowing me, it probably will be broken :p
Also, anyone tried the newest Entity for older tasks (things you maybe used 2.1.14, etc for)? if so, any issues found?

Well, I looked at the source to find out why the rotations in moonfish never seemed to work out (I tried many combinations of standard euler formulas) so thanks for that :)

I spent a long time testing rotations in the BSP viewer and on the Xbox until I got them to match. Glad I could help!

Eh? I don't think we ever played a mod together, sadly. What could it be? From previous footage you've uploaded, I know I would get destroyed in any regular weapons configuration. I would only have a fighting chance in some freakshow setting of my own design.

Btw, Sorry to hear even the Canadians are shooting each other nowadays.

Me too. It is sad to hear that y'all had a shooting.

CPF, you logged on while I was recording so your name pops up on XBL in the middle of an Overkill. :P "brief cameo"

Got a hot date on friday.

I've also started hacking these network based access control units, which are horribly insecure, and has led me to start work on creating my own software and hardware based alternatives to these, and competitors.

I'm gunna start a blog based website soon to post my projects on.
Don't snort the magic, we need it for the network.

That's awesome XZodia! I got my Razer Naga a few weeks ago and I love it!

@Doorm4n the glasses are designed to block a certain range of electromagnetic radiation at a given wavelength, which for these glasses is 190nm - 540nm (nanometers) so if you look at the visible spectrum, you can see what range these glasses will block. The light isn't totally blocked, and small amounts of light are allowed to enter. Here are pictures to help show the effect.

Here is the dot on the wall, you can very faintly see the beam. Because a lot of the light is ultraviolet, it doesn't look nearly as bright in person. It is very purple with no blue at all. (The camera can pick up the ultraviolet light, but our eyes can't)
Image

Here is a similar picture, but I'm holding one of the lenses over the camera aperture. As you can see, the blue splash is reduced, and only some of the light can come through.
Image

These next two are close-up on the dots produced with and without the glasses.

While all of this is cool, what does it mean, and how does it benefit me? Well ANY laser above 5mW (Milliwatt) of heat produced by the laser light can damage the eyes, so if you plan on making strong lasers (like I am) the goggles are REQUIRED. If you don't wear them, you are risking damaging your eyes.

Here is a video I made of a home-made ~140mW Red laser I built with an old DVD burner.

Oh and here is a graphical view of the visible light spectrum:

Shiiiity. Waiting to see if I need to look for new work or not. I still work on moonfish.sunfish a bit but nothing much to show for it yet. Playing Darksouls II right now which is decent except I suck a lot.. Nothing much, I started reading a new book. I doubt I'll ever let the site actually go offline so it'll be around.

New modding tool I imagine? It's pretty cool you're still working at this stuff, what kind of functionality are you aiming for with it?

In any case, glad to see the website is still up. I'll pop on every so often when I get the time.

XZodia released a snazzy program that makes it astonishingly easy to play multiplayer objective games on campaign maps with humans and AI. He just about won modding with that one. Troy has continued to refine Entity from a decroated mass of tangled spaghetti to a powerful and flexible program that makes modding faster, easier and more fun. Jackson released a beta that lets you view markers. Doorm4n has released some excellent mods lately. In short, times are exciting, but as XZodia pointed out, it's the low season right now.

My modding hormones are raging pretty good, but I have to focus on making more money right now. Draaaag.

@Jackson: In times of depression and sluggishness, what has always helped me stir up some motivation is to get physically active. Hockey, cardio, weights, anything you can do will make a difference if you stick to it more than the bumpy first few weeks.

Visual Studio has a cool new community license which permits up to 5 users in an organisation to use it for free =)
I don't know if this will benefit anyone here but thought I'd mention it.
