As per title,
I want to force the game to either ignore or just plain block the pre-rendered cutscenes all together and literally launch encoded versions of the Anniversary edition cutscenes. I guess a downscaled .bik video would be the go-to but naturally this will require some major hacky stuff.
I have all the video files and I have the ability to encode to my hearts content but what I really want to know is,
has anyone here got any idea on how I could achieve this?
Is it a pipe dream?
To stop pre-rendered cutscenes or to null them... I can imagine it MAY cause some mayhem, let alone be possible.

Re: Anniversary clips instead of pre-rendered cutscenes
AFAIK there is no way to launch a .bik from a map file, so short of some xbe related hackery, I don't think this is possible.

Elaborate more on the XBE hackery. I'm willing to try it allAFAIK there is no way to launch a .bik from a map file, so short of some xbe related hackery, I don't think this is possible.

Its beyond my abilities, you'd need to reverse engineer the xbe to find a method to launch the bik file, then find a way to link that method to beginning of a cutscene.
