[Tag] Shield + Health HUD Setup

In the past, I had started a project of mine that I had really hoped to finish, but due to the lack of powerful tools, it turned out to be pure hell. This mod featured a very unique HUD edit that most people were interested in, the health meter (pic here).

Now, the project was discontinued, but people were always asking me how to do it. It's the simplest thing in the world, you're going to laugh.

I'm releasing this tag to teach users how health meters work, and how editing meters works (what they measure). The meter itself is a little sloppy, I agree. I made it in 5 minutes. ... But the looks are not important, I'm just showing you how they work so the few who still mod can make their own health meters for their mods ;).

Now don't bug me for it being a little aliased, it doesn't look that bad in-game, I just left the "Terrible HUD" feature on in Yelo :P.

I wanted to test the theory, you said "okay, i'll do it", called me god when it worked, and then I experimented with placements.

I remember forgetting to switch the bitmap and then falling out of my chair laughing when it used the jackal shield bitmap as a shield meter... Good times.

I remember now, it did work when we switched the shield meter to read out health.

Can someone please explain how this works? I would like to make the shield meter display health instead of shields. As far as I can tell, the health meter is set to "UNIT Body" as the first input, and that's the only difference. But it does not work with the shield meter. What am I missing?

EDIT: Nevermind, just had to change the enum to Unspecial at the bottom. :oops:

change the "Special HUD Type" from "Shield Meter" to "Unspecial"

This is why you upload a patch, so people can extract and build tags without problems(or as many).

I could make a HUD + Health set up as a whole new Tag, and a patch to go along with it.
