In other words, you can't open the map in a modding program.

no, the patch would have to be "secure" to be unopenable. "Non-compliant" fixes out-of-map issues.

You could still open the patch in entity and view the bsp. All that the protection does is remove the string names of the tags, so you don't know which tag you're modifying, but you could still edit them, and since there's only one bsp tag in a mp map you could view it fine.

Actually I meant I wanted to be able to use the bsp viewer to create things like this, but this computer can't handle it. Sorry about that

Thanks, don't worry i'll probably release the tags soon, just fixing some bugs ;)

should make a main menu slot for this, sence its well known on the game half life and half life 2 called (Killbox)

dude this is freakin awesome. thank you soo much. i just saw the vid i couldnt make out if when you got on the lift it went up or if you hit a switch. either way taht is cool. is it system link compatible a.k.a. can me and TT use it over xlink?
lol using TT as an example cuz i know him from xlink

Thank you, yes you can play it on syslink if fixed everything, the lift is automatic, when you get near it it will go up, not switch =P
