That use to happen to me on my laptop all the time. I found that if you disconnect from the internet and just run the router by itself, that usually helps. In my case it had to do with a lot of backround processes making all sorts of port calls or some crap like that. Now that I have my new PC, I never had any of those issues. Are you using a laptop and and a linksys router by any chance?

It's not a laptop, and I'm rather certain that it's not a linksys.

Though, I just did it, and it only took 10 minutes.

And as I browsing Remnant and HaloMods, the Pandora tab of my browser window jumped out and formed it's own window. This confused both me and my computer, as I had to wait as they were both forcefully shut down...

My face kind of looked like that after I finished FEAR 2. Most of the game wasn't that interesting compared to the first, but the ending was just, eh, I'm really glad they didn't show everything that was happening... *shutters*

God all I want to do is make some PS1 homebrew. But no, the only thing on the internet is the SDKs which come with 0 helpful installation guides, and not one thing on the internet that says how to install it properly. God, this is me in about 5 seconds.

This is ridiculous... Ok, so I wanted to take a break from Floodout and start up Snowstorm again. So I do a BSP Conversion on this great BSP I wanted to use. It do it, fix it up, FTP, and it black screens. So I try it on my Xbox 360. It loads perfectly fine and is a perfect conversion... I figured the Xbox didn't have enough power to render that BSP so I chose another one. Same result. Then I gave up on a conversion and tried Coagulation and Zanzibar. I added weather to both of them. Same result... Why in the world can't my Xbox load these maps?! My Xbox 360 can load them...

This is REALLY crushing my plans for Snowstorm. I'm out of suitable BSPs to use. If I can't get on working, I don't know what I'll do...

I have some theories but the most obvious answer I can give you is that the 360 uses an emulator for halo 2; which I bet makes a few assumptions about the map that allows it to load things that the original Xbox might throw an exception on.

No. If anything it would have an eassier time loading on xbox then 360, and the 360 doesnt even have all the xbox APIs. Makes me wounder if my vista to xbox conversion would load......

Well, advice to anyone else: If your mod ever black-screens, try it on a 360 because there is a chance that it will work.

Can you guys think of any fixes? Using YeloDebug to free up memory, getting rid of things in the map, etc...

Grim was working on something along that line, but I think hes gone and got himself distracted from it. Soffish is not really designed with the H2Core mentality in mind. I don't think decompiling the entire map to its most basic blocks is the way to go :\
