Re: The Official Happiness Thread
My homemade fisheye lens made from one of those door peep holes and stuffed down a tube. Will upload picture of the tube later when it's dry. Tried it out at the skatepark with my mate.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
Does anyone read the "multiply to get 36" part?
Anyway, enjoy this long post as to how I got the answer.
I listed all the possible multiplication problems that could equal 36. I also listed the sums of all the factors within each problem.
These were:
1x1x36; 38
1x2x18; 21
1x3x12; 16
1x4x9; 14
1x6x6; 13
2x2x9; 13
3x3x4;10
Now, I noticed that most of the factors within each multiplication problem equal to a unique number, except 1x6x6 and 2x2x9, who both share 13. This is why Al says he doesn't have enough information to figure out the ages of the children. If there were, say, 16 people in the restaurant, then he could have figured out that the ages were 1, 3, and 12, but this is not the case.
So I eliminated all of the problems with unique sums, leaving 1x6x6 and 2x2x9.
This is where the odd, additional hint comes in: "My oldest child has red hair." For the longest time I thought the important information in that sentence was "red hair", but it's actually a decoy. The real information that was being supplied was "My oldest child", meaning singular. This eliminates 1x6x6, as he has stated he does not have two oldest children of the same age.
In conclusion, there were 13 people in the restaurant, and the ages of his children are 2, 2, and 9.
Way easier than I thought.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
Well I have gotten a recompiled ascension to load. The only problem is it just sits there saying "Respawn in 0" flashing my profile name. Demonic suggested it has something to do with me spawning outside the bounds of the bsp. I'll continue to look into this, but if anyone wants to help and get maps working tonight, I'd appreciate it.
Don't snort the magic, we need it for the network.

Yay, my map has lightning and it still has an average of 29 FPS(H2X is capped at 30FPS).

Replaced the battery in my car so I don't have to worry about getting a jump tomorrow. Now to replace the entire rear left brake because there is no longer a brake pad... just metal on metal...

if I lived in your neighborhood I would steal your back left tire, so you couldn't drive your car, so I would not hear that hellish-screeching of metal on metal brakes.............

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
I started assessing my resource issue with Outpost. Nulling the sbsp shaders frees up allot of resources but I went a little further than that. I built in a blank sbsp. Cableroom2 from gasgiant which is nothing more than a cube, massive world bounds, and no apparent freeze points.
It's a perfect sbsp for making a map from objects. There's nearly no sbsp to take up resources.
Honestly it's the sbsp that should've been used for Onyx.

Gemini, it's pretty fun to explore the map with all the shaders nulled.Gary wrote:What sbsp does it currently use?

Fix that shit fast! You have to! You will destroy your break if you don't!
