Struggling with Acne may be a bitch but it carries a valuable lesson. I adore the lesson.

Defined existence. No matter how faithful you may be there will always be a seed of doubt in your mind. That is why we cling to life so dearly.

My reason to live at the moment is to see what is happening with everyone who I haven't seen in a while. You miss a lot when your not with your friends.

I killed him.
Again, I had no real control over it...
You have more control over your dreams than reality.
Ever heard of lucid dreaming?

It's a form of conscious dreaming. It's basically a skill in which, you start dreaming, you realize that you're dreaming, and you're able to control everything within your dream. It is the most fun sleep you will ever have.
How incredibly insensitive of her. She rejects you, and then proceeds to tell you that she loves one guy, and likes another?
Look at it this way. You didn't wait three years until you told her how you felt.

Indeed. I've done I on several occasions, a big problem sometimes is once you know your dreaming you start to wake up and I takes a lot of mind control to remain in the dream. But its fucking awesome.Aumaan Anubis wrote:It's a form of conscious dreaming. Re: Reasons to Be Alive
Most of the dreams I remember are semi lucid. I'll be able to make some choices of how I want the dream to go, but then other shit will happen in reaction to that that's out of my control. At least that's what it seems like to me. If I remember my dreams then I am not sleeping very well so I am half awake dreaming, which is most likely why I have some control over them.

I swear...i don't EVER remember my dreams, unless i do realize that i am in a dream, in which case...i awaken immediately.

Yeah. Supposedly, you should be able to tell when you're about to wake up. Things will start getting blurry and whatnot. While lucid dreaming, you're supposed to like, close your eyes and spin around a few times.xzodia wrote:a big problem sometimes is once you know your dreaming you start to wake up and I takes a lot of mind control to remain in the dream.
You should end up in a different place and still be in a sleeping state.
And it actually works.
Yeah, I think that most of us can direct dreams. For instance, in a dream, if I think I'm going to receive an A on a test, voila, I receive an A on the test. Stuff like that.OwnZ joO wrote:Most of the dreams I remember are semi lucid. But during complete lucidity, you are consciously aware that you're dreaming, you should have complete control. The only boundary, I find, is convincing your mind that things should happen.
For instance, during my first lucid dream, I was playing a real life version of multiplayer Halo 2(yeh, nerd, I know.) Anyway, I could see my brother's shield bar, and I steadily made it decrease 'till he lost all his life. And it wasn't exactly easy. It took concentration and whatnot. But when I tried to fly, the whole landscape I was on started flipping out like a corrupted bitmap. And I didn't go anywhere. I theorize that you have to convince your mind to do it. Your mind is so conditioned to believe that we're based on the ground, that trying to consciously fly in a dream is difficult.
But it's always fun to have lucid dreams. I was at a table with a bunch of people one time, and I 'became' lucid. I looked across from me, and there was a bowl sitting on the table. I levitated it with my mind, said, "freakin' awesome," and then decided to lose my lucidity and see where the dream took me.
Those are the only two that I can remember. I'm probably going to start trying again, just to see if I can fly, because I imagine that'd be amazing. Anyway have experience with that?
And that will bring me into something ontopic. A reason to live, is to try new things. Flying , for example.
