Remnantmods

It seems like once again a slow period is upon us. There are hardly and postings, but I know that people are still watching.

Take the time to just write a quick "Hello World!" or "I watch, but don't mod" or "I mod but don't post" or something. It'd be nice to see how many people still check this site every day or week.

These are long overdue, so I would like to say thank you to:
* JacksonCougar for looking after the site and creating helpful topics
* Grimdoomer for all his research and contributions to the community
* Neodos for inspiration and help with Entity
* DemonicSandwich for his in depth tutorials
* xzodia for his plugins and programs (and anal-retentaveness)
* iBotPeaches for posting the compilation of maps. It has renewed our playing of H2 for at least a little while longer
* CaptainPoopface for his ridiculous maps. Always nice to play something a little different
* Orgrish for ideas and lots of mods
* Click for hanging in there as everyone else seems to be dwindling away
* DarkShallFall for giving me hope with his models (even though most never saw the light of day)
* OwnZ joO, NotZachary, socrates, dragonfire, rentreg and many others for being active in the community and helping to be a driving force for H2.
* Aumaan Anubis - Sorry, knew I'd forget someone. Thanks for pretending to know about stuff

I sort of experiment rather than mod.
I suppose that counts.

I pretend like I know what I'm talking about.

I'm actually working on modding and modding programs for halo 1 at the moment. Custom maps for halo 1 xbox is a possibility through the Halo Editing Kit combined with Arsenic for conversion purposes.

I just check everyday remnants, but i don't mod any more(i removed video capture card and HDD containing mods and tools for h2 from my pc), i am focusing on digital painting and CG.

Its still nice to see what's going on and some people are still modding or willing to.

I check the site daily for updates. I make many little mods but they never get completed.

I frequent frequently. Cooking something up for the H2 developers out there right now. Hold on one moment: I think I burnt something... O'Shi-

I still hang around. Intentionally didn't unpack the xbox after moving.

Also, I'd say I'm better referred to for my hax rather than my tuts.

I probably check the site at least once a day. Almost for sure once every other day. Hopefully whatever you're cooking up will be pretty interesting. What I've been tinkering with lately is Async stuff, trying to get better with using that while keeping programs robust and speedy.

Also Demonic I consider you one of the most knowledgeable people about halo 2 modding, especially among the non programmers. You know a ton about all the different tags and just how to hack together an idea with what is already possible in h2 modding.

I still come up with ideas and start small private mods to see what i can do.
I just dont finish and release em any more.

But i supose if anyone still around to play em i could crank out a couple more.
Im more interested in making new maps with onyx then modding the old ones.

But im still here often, checking in, hoping to be inspired to finish one of the twenty or so mods i started last year, or make a new one.

Yeah I was for the most part interested in creating new physical stuff than other sorts of mods. Aside from the h2ce mod which is actually what got me into modding, I like new maps and textures, I like my halo 2 mods to still be halo 2.

I would come here more often if the site didn't still look like shit. The site has looked like shit for a very long time. The fucking banner is the ugliest piece of graphics art that I have ever seen. Why come to a site that the owners don't even care about.

I have done work on things, but I have never found the time to finish. It is hard for me to find time and motivation between having a full-time job, programming for Halo 2, and enjoying life in my free time. I may find the motivation to finish the new Portal I was working on.

If you don't like it you can use a firefox plugin which lets you replace the website designs or even only images, but that's not gonna stop me from being around remnants, i guess you're not serious xD
