So recently I've been wondering, what exactly is the potential of a portable, focused collection of about 50 175mW hand-held lasers? If 175 x 50 = 8750 (I know there are a lot of other factors) then it could possibly be useful as a weapon if focused properly and since the small handhelds normally have a life span of about 7 hours per charge each the electricity needed wouldn't be very high on a relative scale, could a shoulder cannon be made of movable diodes (Whatever you like to call them...) that can focus to any distance? Tell me why it could or couldn't work. I might go farther into details later.
