That is the FAMAS.
And my avatar is ripped off of Demonic's. :¬_¬: Obviously.

Modern weapons need to stay out of Halo, in my opinion. There's plenty of games for that, get a little more creative.

That is a good model, but I agree with Zac, modern weapons don't have a place in Halo, made up futuristic weapons do.

If you have to reference a weapon, use some H&K ones. Try the G11, HK33, HK 417, or PSG1. All four are quite awesome looking.

I don't model, but I'd encourage everyone to aspire to less boxy-ness. Most of what I've ever seen from the H2 community looks like a rectangular thing with rectangular highlights and a handle that looks like a hollowed out rectangle.

I also agree there's a lack of creativity. Probably 99% of what I've seen is someone trying to copy something else. A weapon just needs something for a hand (or two) to clutch, and a thing for the emitted crap to come out of. Just use your imagination from there.

The map.
The weapon is mediocre.

You will like the HSS series then, most of my models are a little more poly, but gonna be playable, bump mapping is gonna be interesting, just starting to get into that.. :)

Personally I never got a real thrill out of custom made weapons. I say, as long as you have a nice well done sexy stomping ground.....that's all you need. Most custom weapons I've seen just seem to make the game play a little unbalanced...and after a while, it stops feeling like Halo. But that's just me.

I have been making improvements on my mod. I am able to spawn trees as Machines, so no need to use up netgame equipment spawns. The trees have proper collision as well. I thought that DemonicSandwich's Bulldog Motorcycle would fit perfectly for this map, so I decided to add it. I change the fog and lightmap a bit. I also removed my FAMAS.

That is quite a significant improvement. That blue fog could be lightened up slightly but it's better than that bad looking gray fog.

Its very nice, maybe not so green for fog, a bit more white, sorry  the only thing that bothers me, well I know we can't do much about it, its the sbsp lightmap shadows, cloudy sky = diffused light = super blurred shadows, you only get sharp shadows with a sunny day such as original coagulation sky or with lights.

Is there any way we can extract the lightmap bitmaps properly and edit it on photoshop?

I recommend increasing the gravity of the motorcycle in the vehi tag. I can't remember where I set it and liked it. Maybe 1.6? That makes it much less floaty, and it feels more like a motorcycle than a 2-wheeled warthog. It also does not flip over nearly as much.

I guess the skin is OK. There are many forest-like skins of coag, but it looks like decent quality.

Thanks a lot guys. This is a project I am determined to finish. Also, i might have to use Penguin's Shipka in replacement to the SMG because the SMG jmad is screwed up due to the Bulldog motorcycle. The shipka will do similar damage, but uses the sniper rifle reload animation.

Here are the new fog pics.

EDIT:
Not much of a difference. Fog is kinda hard to work with. The values have to be so perfect and i am using Halo Color Viewer to help me out.

Exactly how is it messed up?
That issue with the first person animations was a common issue with the bipd jmads.

You into third person view and reload. Does he visually reload in third person?

If problems are severe enough, you could always just use the original bipd jmads, there is no change in animation, just an addition of Limb Placements to the ghost_d Call.

Click, I gotta say this is looking amazing..but yea I have seen a forest mod for coag before, this does already look better..
However: I really liked your first few pics, minus the weapon.., because I don't think I've seen a snow coag before..and that is what it looked like to me..with the white fog..

Really opaque white fog would be quite epic with that skin, Click.
