Ha, I remember the big firefight inside of the base in Zanzibar.

I don't remember the dead/breakdancing ODSTs... Also, I don't remember thinking the maps had heavy bloom like in these pictures.

Eh, I tried making a Halo Reach shield and Health setup. It's not too good in my opinion.

Note- I know that Dark made a very good Halo Reach HUD for H2, I made this for some practice.

I don't really know what reach shield bars look like, that doesn't look bad maybe the alpha is pixelised.

I kind of like it. I'd prefer it a little higher on the screen though. Would you consider releasing it as a tag?

Your alphas are the problem. :/ In both of those pics. Instead of that super dark color you've got, make it a top-to-bottom gradient of #b0b0b0 and #ececec. That's how it's set up (or close to, I believe) in the default shield meter alpha. Give it a try.

And the Elite's shield and health set up is NOT that huge.

Yeah, I know I forgot to scale the image down before using the pen tool.

I would also like it if it were much smaller. If you could make it the same width as the ammo meter and put it beneath the grenade icons, so the grenade icons and gun + ammo meter take up about the same space and the center of the screen stays fully visible, that would be nice. I don't know what the Reach HUD looks like, but I don't like having so much visual real estate consumed by HUD.

If you're using photoshop and the pen tool to make such things, better learn the pen tool and the vectorial shapes http://www.photoshopessentials.com/basi ... elections/ you'll save a lot of time and won't thave the problem of it being pixelised.

Yeah, but I deleted the pen path. Ah well, so I started it over.

The alpha on the shield is a lot better. Now ... fix the angle that the meter flows at.

Looks much nicer. I wish I knew how to manipulate the shield_test(?) shader as to make it change colors as it progresses to certain percentages, like how it is in Reach and CE.
