Who here likes to play Half Life 2 and Garrys Mod i just like to muck around in them but i recently got episode 1 so i gonna be busy playing that

I love Half Life series... I have been playing the original Day of Defeat since I was 11 years old! I am not even joking! Half Life 2 is unbelievable, Counter Strike 1.6/Source are unbelievable, Team Fortress is unbelievable, Battlegrounds, Vampire Slayer, and Wantedhl are the greatest games ever. I have never been disappointed by the Half Life series or the mods made by them. Gmod is phenomenal!

However, I do remember some HL2 mod named "Pirate, Viking, and Knights". =P It was terrible. That is the only mod I have disliked from the series.

It's games like Half Life 2 that confuse me.
I played it for awhile, then I gave up. But that was in my younger years(couple years ago mb?), so I may have a better chance now.

I don't like it too much I'd much rather play Halo 3.

I've slowly been making my way through hl2 since the orange box came out (and I bought it)

Portal FTW!

I've played every Half-Life game including the orange box since the original half-life series for PC.

I feel I've missed out...never played a half life game before

I like Counter Strike, G-Mod, and Team Fortress 2 mainly. I've played HL2 and it was cool, but not my favorite. And I watched my brother play Portal and that seemed amazing.

I like everything but Team Fortress 2.
But yes, the Half Life series is amazing. I like it so a lot more than I do Halo.

well unfortunatly i had to clear out the harddrive so i got rid of half life 2 episode 1 deathmatch lost coast counterstrike team fortress 2 and portal cleared out 30 gigs

Yeah, those games are hard drive eaters :S

Well I finally beat HL2, and just finished Portal...and found myself still wanting more...

Ugh! You guys are so lucky. I install Half Life 2 and it says "Failure to Launch Dll" and it closes without ever starting.

thats for that link xzodia been looking for some cool portal maps i reinstalled it cause of the new video card and extra gig of ram

Why do you ppl like this damn game... I got half life 2 back when it was all hyped up.. Got HL2:ep1 for xbox. It was by far the worst 40$ ive ever spent... The storyline was non-existant, the game was full price but only a fraction of a whole game... it ended at like the first boss... It had the gravity gun but that got old fast... This is a game id give a "C" tops, yet on xbox1 and 360 it received higher scores than almost every game made... This easily goes down in history to me as the most over-rated game of all time. If bungie pulled something like Halo 3:episodes 1,2, and 3, you ppl would be rip shittin, yet show continued support of valve a company who clearly doesn't care about its consumers... I just don't get it..

i enjoy Half life 2,
its one of the best games i played besides halo.
i cant wait to play EP2, i need to DL it my ants house where the internet is faster.
i got the orange box and it came with HL2, HL2 EPs, Portal, TF2, Source SDK,
i'm DLing all of it besides TF2, no point in DLing a game if i cant play it.
I hope they make an EP3, or HL3.

WTF? HL2 is THE LONGEST game I've ever played
It took me ages to finish the original and I've still not got around to finishing ep1...
HL2 is rated highly because it has unique gameplay aspects, like the shooting being broken-up from time to time by the need to solve a small puzzle in order to proceed.
Your mistake was jumping in at ep1 before playing the original.

I ono it has been a few years mb i wasnt as good as a video game critic back then and i just remember it being a horrible game. I didnt play the original but I did read the story before playing 2 so I wasnt lost.
