It's sort of odd...

You have dreary waterworks combined with bright green/yellow random platforms.

its a W.I.P, and its looks beetter in game. And as far as u not getting it, or thinking its odd, well i guess thats ok. Its not suposed to be boring and normal. Its finding areas of the maps unused and trying to make something playable out of them.

I havnt decided if ill connect the platforms with ramps (like a decending starecase) or if ill add lifts. or chang it completly. A for the yellow lit platforms, it adds needed light and contrast.

I added many more pallets and got most of my placements done.
And ive done some weapon editing, but i have a long ways to go.

And so every one can see my vision of this, ill explain it alittle.
The name of the mod is: (Final Descent).

As in the meaning: to descend, or move in a downword motion.

So the landings will not have lifts up. The bottom is dark and great for sniping people out of the sky. Many will jump down a leval at a time, others will just jump straight to bottom and try to control it. On your descent others will shoot at you from above, below, or from sides.
Ive tested playing: Snipers, swords, Br's. All played well. My shotgun is bigger and badder then befor. Its a Brute_shotgun, its projectiles are balls of molton plasma the explode like bruteshot.
Its fun to be at bottom and everyone shoot up a bunch, then run around, a try to survive.

Hey everybody! 18 Days until Christmas! I cant wait! My wish list is:
Motherboard
RAM
120 GB HDD (IDE - For Xbox )
iPod Nano Chromatic - 8 GB
and other stuff like clothes .etc

Okay well my Christmas mod, Snowball Fight, is going to be completed by Christmas or a few days after. Depends on how much i work on it. I've been working with attachments all day and I'm thinking that its time for it to be done! Luckily after many times of trial and error, I finally got it correctly placed on Master Chief's head!

Id like you all to meet... SANTA CHIEF!

Improperly shaded bumpmaps.

Correct... almost. These bumps were improperly injected, not shaded. It was done a long, long time ago (April of '06) before e'er there was proper bump injection.

Here's what it looks like properly bumped (with a modified shader, naturally):

Incorrect, somewhat. those bumps are never properly shaded in either image. The shader is picking out Normal information as colour and showing that instead of depth in both images.

How in image #2? The reason the ghost looks to be a bit off-colored was because I was using a different shader entirely in order to give it a more of a "chrome" look. It looks exactly how I intended it to look in #2. #1 was, I admit, a surprise.

There is a great amount of depth in #2, none in #1.

Perhaps you'd like more pictures? I thought the shading from the grenade would be sufficient, but I have more pictures if you'd like.

EDIT: Here's the pics:

And, to show that the look is due to my decision on coloring the shader and not the Normal map, here's an early version of this ghost with a different shader from the above (forgive me for how sloppy it is as I hadn't yet sharpened it up when this was taken):

In comparisons it it best to avoid confusion by simply not changing anything but that change which you want observed.

This is true. As with the first, improperly injected "bumps," these were done some time ago, though not ago as the first. I was more going for a particular overall look, not for a demonstration of the injection. I never used this ghost but thought the old pictures I have of it something worth posting.

I, Like yourself, understand skinning very well, though anything new within the past year I am unfamiliar with.

Oh, perhaps you're up for a project of sorts? Anyone on your team up for it? I have neither the time nor the means to finish it.

Its basically an alpha blend between the two bitmaps.
I do not have time for projects right now because I am currently supporting every project out there with my continued efforts to program new modding tools.

Nice concept, but white doesn't look right...

Also, grenades not done yet or are you just leaving them out?
