What?
I wouldn't make it any worse, if I killed the gator, then the risk of it hurting any other animal is gone.
If I kill those dogs(which I most likely won't), it would just make everyone's life around them better, they wouldn't have to worry about those stupid dogs crapping in their yard, or their trash getting pulled out everywhere.

But you're only doing it because of the possibility it killed your cat. Would you have immediately killed the gator had it not killed your cat? Probably not.
You're killing the gator out of pure anger and revenge, covering it up with the idea that it'll make lives better. So really, you're only making yourself more susceptible to future anger, and making revenge actions more acceptable to your already poor(and by poor I mean, crappy) neighborhood.

Same with the dogs.

I can't believe this shit  My dad got a note in the mail with the comcast bill, apparently they flag torrents now, so I got a notice saying that they flagged me for downloading a pirated game. Like wth? I've download plenty of shit in the past and never got anything like this before. So my parents are so pissed and telling ME that I don't understand. They are fucking idiots, idk why we even use comcast there service SUCKS, and I can't download torrents.

I can't believe Microsoft is serious about this? They wounder why people pirate games? Lets see, there console cost a couple hundred, live is 50$ a year, games are 40-60$ each, and their shit has a life span of a couple days. So do they really think people are gunna take them seriously?

I don't have a lot of money and neither do my parents. So like what am I supposed to do? Their games are 60$ each. Do you know how much food I could buy with 60$?

Hmm Microsoft is loosing lots of money? Gee, I wounder why. Because they fucking drained everyones pockets already.

God, I can't get a break from anything. I can't even get a little entertainment in my life, because I don't have money. I hate my fucking life.

I know peoples parents who wish their kids could program and stuff. My parents hate the fact they ever let me use a computer. Now if one more thing happens, I loose my computer.

Comcast is full of shit. They are too lazy to maintain there network let alone monitor P2P traffic.
Especially since using a P2P app or torrents itself isn't illegal.
And you can't just go on file names alone to determine if the content is pirated. Gosh. (>_>)

Just start encrypting your network traffic then.

They have the exact torrent name, and the tracker. And how is it not illegal?

P2P and torrents themselves aren't illegal, using them to download things which you don't own is illegal

Isn't it a violation of your privacy to check what you download?

Where I live we have Optimum, Verizon, Comcast, and some others that I may not know of. So far Verizon and Optimum are the best around and don't bother you with torrents unless your downloading a new one every day, then they just email you with a warning if they feel like it. Other then that they could care less as long as your a customer.

Now what I find funny is that out of everything click's brother downloads, they emailed him with a warning for downloading the spongbob movie.

They know its pirated because they downloaded it.

Let me just say something to hopefully solve grims problem...

Download and install PeerGuardian 2 made by Pheonix Labs.

Get ALL the lists and update as much as possible. If someone says PG2 sucks and doesnt do its job, ur a retard. PG2 is the best software for encrypting traffic. I have used PG2 for years, just recently i edited my lists to allow for xfire and halo pc game servers, about a wk later i got a a letter in the mail about pirating content. So i went bk and redid my lists so they r unedited, having heard anything since :D

just my .02 ;)

Society's inability to understand and accept unorthodox actions.

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestof ... rouble.cnn

Cheerleaders sent text messages featuring nude pictures of themselves("sexting") to their boyfriends, and the school's freakin' out and kicks them off the cheerleading team.
The parents are now suing the school.

First of all, what right does the administration have to affect the lives of two teenagers, based on "evidence(major quotes)" that they probably didn't have the right to view in the first place.

And what the hell is up with their generational view of sex and nudity? Like, seriously, the main reporter of the video is so idiotic. He thinks that suing the school is, "ridiculous." His question, "Is there just no shame?!" just further demonstrates the generational perception, which is so incredibly warped. When the "expert" says, "don't buy the kids a phone with a camera," he responds, "OK, no phone." ... did he freakin' listen to what he said, or is he so caught up in his own thoughts about how every single person should act and behave, that he just feels it necessary to replace others' responses with his own modification of said response?
When the kid calls in(third caller), he talks about what it's like, how it's not surprising, and the reporter goes, "but it's a bad thing!"
Prove it. That's what I would've said. Prove the hell that it's bad. It's only considered "bad," because you freakin' think that it's bad, when sex is so natural that it's as necessary as breathing.
The adolescent psychology "expert" has no idea what she's talking about. Teenage women and men, included, LIE when confronted with questions about their personal life. I see it all the freakin' time. If a teenage girl or boy has to give an answer to a question such as, "Why do you think that teenage girls feel it necessary to send nude pictures of themselves to their boyfriends?" They are going to give the answer that they feel the person wants. Always, they want to sound smart, in control, and "in the know," sorta' speak, so they're going to give the answer that the previous generation already believes. And her third thing, "Partner pressure," is just... no words for it. "Young boys are looking at pornography on the internet." NO DUH. What you seem to be missing is that females do the exact freakin' thing. Girls at my middle school were making sexual references and jokes before the guys were. Girls are NOT the super pretty and perfect and proper people that these people seem to believe they should be.
The callers were idiots. Why does the second caller even bring up how, "we got 8 yer olds killin' people..." And as I said, the third caller, the teenager in high school, gives the exact answer that they want to hear. "it's mainsteam becuz of teh evil cell phones... I believe it's wrong..."

My god. I bet you that most of them all went home and got themselves off thinking about the cheerleaders.

I have too much to say, I don't want to rant too much.

Why do people even worry about this stuff? If the school never got involved the world wouldn't of changed, nothing bad would of happened. What ever happened to freedom? Haven't teenagers always done things similar to this just without all the modern technology. People used to get married at 14 and it was OK, but now its a bad thing to see your lover naked on a phone? Who gives a shit about what teens do, as long as their not hurting anyone or harming themselves.

Let me get this strait, its ok to kill an unborn child yet its wrong to show your boyfriend naked pics of yourself?

Those girls should be sewing the school for looking through the students stuff and seeing this and then displaying it to the school board and causing a permanent scar that will prevent them from being able to walk the halls comfortably. And if they did say that the response of the school board would be "You sent the pictures" which is understandable in a way but it wasn't their right to look at their boyfriends phones and see these pics.

About the porn thing. Didn't guys used to have a porn stash of magazines before pc's?

And this is why obama got in, people going with what others say.

Did Canada end up like this yet? I'm moving to there if these kinds of things keep up.

We(guys and girls) have always looked at pornography. The only thing that has changed between my generation and yours are the methods of obtaining it.

hahaha, I love your reply DS.

It has to do with our corrupted teenagers. Even though teen pregnancy has dropped drastically in the past two decades, but is unfortunately rising now, the lack of values in our teenagers is what is scaring people. I am tossing out words right now and the last words I will say is, I wonder how our society will function in the future, as our generation leads the world? I think the school had no right to remove them, but what makes being lustrous fine or not fine? Historical statistics of generations and their mentalities along with product of their lives show the corruption in it. Technology is what has made this so simple. If it weren't around, our ENTIRE mentalities would be so different, regarding promiscuousness. It is an endless war at this point. Our family values are the ones that are supposed to prevent this from happening, along with education in general. It is natural to have sex, but to sexily show yourself for attention is where I personally think there is corruption.

I do not think this act of the cheerleaders is fine.
I do not think the act of the administration is fine.
I think our federal and state governments should mandate our education system to be the best in the country. We sadly, as a developed nation, have one of the worst education systems.

The intelligence of people today surprises me. People overreact or underreact in every situation, mostly resulting in a federal case, or nothing happening at all when something should have been done.

Also DF, you said you got a piracy note after you edited your lists? Another note is the last thing I need. I'm like on lock down with my parents and my computer.

Everyone blames the younger generations for the problems. They are the best and the things going on in the world have to be because of these new kids coming in and destroying values. That's just how things go.

Why after seeing a thread that has extreme importance in it, relating to life (mainly a lot of doorman's posts), do I end up having a dream that night about someone I've known for a while who is so far away yet feels so close. The person I dream of has almost lost contact with me yet they always find a way to not loose me. This person used to be very depressed yet everytime I talk to them they seem to be happy. In the dreams their over excited. I'm not sure if I'm just over exaggerating what they do and who they are but I feel like I should never loose this person and that I need them or they need me to live on. Or I could be just loosing my link to reality.

Yea, Peer Guardian is nice and all, but it only blocks external connections. It doesn't keep the ISP from reading their own connection traffic...unfortunately.

It just keeps outsiders from looking in.

Edit: Well you could keep the ISP from knowing what it is if you are using some sort of encryption.

I never noticed that setting before, but it was enabled. I'm glad my ISP doesn't worry that much about torrent downloading. I think the random email they send people is to lower the amount of downloads so they don't have to report people.

EDIT (Dec 07):
