Re: The Official Happiness Thread
I have a new goal in life.
Yesterday at work, for some reason, an image popped into my head.
Hawaii; the front of my old house. Me and a friend, Jared, were sitting on the steps near the front door. It was probably a few days before my departure back to Dallas.
We were talking about how many times we had made another friend of mine... cry. Hehe.
It wasn't because we were mean, or because we had intentionally made him cry; it was because he was overly sensitive, and it was bound to happen. It wasn't in mean spirit. Actually, the kid who we were "making fun of," was the one who introduced me to Halo 1. Silent Cartographer. Best time ever.
Anyway, I don't remember much. All I remember was that we were talking, and he eventually had to leave. It was a sad time.
And that was a great neighborhood. Me, and three other guys. Quite a few adventures. Hawaii's an awesome place. This one guy's backyard went off into this... small, 'mountainous' area. We'd go rock climbing up this 90 degree rock wall. And it was huge. No support gear; no nothin'. Or from what I remember, it was 90 degrees, and it was huge. I was quite a bit smaller back then...
But yeah... I was thinkin' of all this. And I realized that I had a new goal in life.
First goal, is to see the aurora borealis with my own eyes.
Secondly, and this pertains to the paragraph, I want to go back to my house. Back to my friends' houses, hopefully get back together with whoever is left.

I had a flaming middle finger for a second! But I blew it out so the flame wouldn't reach my skin.

So, according to my ultra-sensitive, always-right, digital multimeter... I have an internal resistance of approximately 30 million Ohms. That's slightly above the average human's internal resistance of about 100 thousand...

Mah Happiness:
Tomorrow is my birthday, Friday the 13th.. I'll be 16.
Yesterday a guy at my church that is a manager at Chick-Fil-A told me that I should get a call soon for me to get hired.
My sister bought me a new computer mouse yesterday. Rocketfish 2.4Ghz; 800 or 1600dpi with two programmable buttonz.
I got one button to do copy but a paste option is not available for the other one...so I am gonna look on line for a while for a program that works for my mouse, I had Xbuttoncontrol or something but it didn't detect my extra buttons...
With my new job I should get enough money to build my new computer....meaning I am gonna want to take back my AMD Athlon X2 cpu I just got and go ahead and get a quad core....
I should have this job through the summer if not well into next year, starting pay is over min. wage and a few of my friends from my relatively small church work there, so I will already know some peoples.
Friday after school I am leaving with my friend to go to a camp ground called Little Sahara. I'll be back Monday..; he's got three 4-Wheelers we are taking and I'ma stock up on monsters and Mt.Dew's XD Crest is having an anniversary sale and 2-Liters of pepsi products are $0.56 lol, Mt.Dew and Mt.Dew Voltage
also, got mah new sig. I thought it was funny.... still see you...

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
I have learnt, or so my self-examination seems to point to..., that each of my personalities seems to be expressed by a different song, or genre-type.
If I haven't heard the song before, and it pleases me, and my subconscious seems to detect traces of some emotional trauma within the song, it elicits a rather strong emotional/personality change.
...
Or maybe I'm thinking too much. It's quite possible that my emotional side is just highly influenced by music, because God knows I was incredibly sensitive as a child. For instance, a heavy metal song, I believe, would make me determined and reckless, risky. When recently listening to The Fray, You Found Me, I received that, "Life's too short to take our mortality seriously," feeling. A calm, "I don't care what others think about me," feeling.
I am perplexed; consider me crazy.
And as for HaloMods, I will continue to go there out of habit, and out of loyalty, until it is shutdown; and then, tears will likely come to my eyes. If no one has yet deciphered this, I am incredibly loyal to my past, to my own routine.

Got my DVD Burning Drive. With the help of penguin, and extracted the laser assembly.
I'm still building a driver circuit based on this schematic:

Radio shack is annoying me. It does not have the 100 ohm pot / rheostat that I need, nor does it have the regulator. (LM317) Also I picked up 2 100 ohm resistors instead of 10 ohm resistors.

Fuck RadioShack. They add 25-50% to the price of things just because their name it on it.

Programing on the Xbox is fun. I now have a splash screen that shows a logo and slowly fades to black. Next I'm gunna draw a menu with some info.
