Truth be told, unsigned types are a specialist type which are rarely used. Also, writing an emulator in Java is stupid anyway because it means your using an interpreter to emulate...so slow code doing a long operation...

That being said I hate Java as well...

And I hate how windows live messenger says the file I'm sending may be unsafe... It's my file why would I be worried about it?

Maybe not in halo apps, but I find myself using unsigned types frequently. Not just for variables but for masks too. Never the less, they are still very important in programing.

Speaking of Java, is a "Jar" a compiled version of Java code? Because I need to edit one so it creates a file a different way.

Can someone give Gjsdeath his color back? I tend to miss his name when I don't see the blue glow.

Acutally, I ment programming in general since unsigned types are typically only used to compress things.

But you have to create a Group to give a user a specific color... I doubt phpbb can understand a SQL code to do that, as phpbb itself can't create specific colors for specific users.

Whats wrong with a few user specific groups?

Hmm lets see, every CPU has special opcodes to handle just unsigned types. Just about every OS including ones on gaming consoles, ipods and phones use unsigned types. Many video games, software, hell when it comes software in general, unsigned types are used a lot more then signed. Even xna is built off of unsigned types. Networking and IO ports all use unsigned types....

Now lets compare that to Java. Why would I use java, which doesn't have unsigned types, when I could open any other language and use them? Because of the Java interpreter? Well since just about every one who would use the program you are making would be running on a little endian CPU, there is no need to use a limited language which can't do much, to try and make you program more compatible.

There are a million reasons not to use java, and one reason to use it.

Lets throw some color in while we're at it.

And now I'm being blamed for breaking the outside water valve, I told my mom it wasn't working over a month ago and she didn't believe me then...

None of the things you mentioned are "general useage" they're all special branches of programming. Java is mainly if not only used for web apps which have no use for unsigned types (I've never seen it used for anything else, excluding a couple of modding apps)

Interesting, Aumaan's profile, he doesn't seem to be part of a group for a color...

Me thinks you didn't catch that... he wanted someone to somehow find the SQL pass because for a specific user, you can define a color-without a group.
