My neighbors backyard caught on fire an hour ago. Rather unsettling.

Thankfully one of the local fire departments put it out before it caught the house itself on fire.
The fire started in a shed...full of pot plants. The lighting he used shorted out and caught fire.

He's been busted for pot growing before but I didn't even think it was pot that was burning. The chemical smell of burning rubber and wood overpowered the smell of the burning pot.

Someones gonna get a rude welcome when he comes home from work today.

Uhhhh. I really don't know.

I just haven't felt the need to get on lately.
But now that school has started, I'll probably be looking for more ways to procrastinate, AIM being one of them.

I did find her attractive, yes. But I think it's a bit more complicated than that. She wasn't amazingly-drop-your-jaw hot, or however you know it best. She did break rules more often than I did, I guess making her a "bad girl," in a particular sense. I just had a lot of fun when I was around her. I was happy. And it wasn't when we were "breaking rules" or whatever. I just felt really comfortable talking to her. And that in itself is weird, because I'm horrible talking one on one with someone, and I'm even worse in groups.
So it wasn't the "hotness." And it wasn't that she may have been a "bad girl."
At least, my beliefs.

OK WTF?

I have 4 hard drives inside my computer. All of them never had any issues. Today I turn on my computer and windows says it's installing the drivers for a Maxtor ATA Device... I goto my computer and see that the old 80GB maxtor drive isn't showing up "Local Disk F." A minute later a "Removable Disk F" shows up and it's the harddrive...

Let me try rebooting.

Out of every piece of hardware out there, out of all the manufacturers, there's only one I steer clear of and tell others to do the same. With all my soul I hate Maxtor.

I have seen 9 drives fail in my life.
all but two have been Maxtor.
I can't remeber what one of the other drives was, but the other was a Fujitsu. I couldn't really be upset though, as it told me that it was expecting to fail in 14 days. Sure it only lasted 7, but long enough to get all my info off.

As for "M", I hated them, then my father got one with his new computer and I thought, "Maybe their newer drives are better...".
The second day of owning the computer, the HDD died. He took it back and I told him to get them to put a Western Digital in instead. What do ya know? I think he's now had that same computer for 7 or 8 years with no problems.
oh, yeah. Did I mention one of the first I ever saw was the drive I kept all my programming on? I was not too impressed as there's no way you can "find" that stuff again.


So, basically, what I'm saying is, remember the name "Maxtor" and steer clear.

As for the Maxtor drives, i have a total of 3 Seagates [160 (external), 640 (pc data), and 250 (xbox)], 1 Maxtor (pc data), and 1 WD (pc data). I have only had ONE hardrive fail on me, and it was the first Seagate i got for the xbox, it was DOA, but got the RMA for a second, havent had any issues. Maybe I just have good luck with drives
