That's an excellent concept you have there, Dark. Could we compile BSPs, that would look sexy.

Seriously, if I could see one of these models that 100 people are making compiled into a legitimate, playable map, I would be ecstatic.

I'm waiting for you to get to the "I Give Up" stage.

I just want one freakin' done. I've seen render upon render of "custom map" models which would make really interesting maps, but don't make it into the whole "playable" portion of their plan.

Keep those awesome models coming guys, and when we can, we'll have one hell of a custom bsp map pack to do!

Then someone needs to put shared bsp into a map for me. Any map, as long as it loads fine, I don't care if its with entity or h2core, as long as it loads.

Does this look forerunner enough? I'm moving past Contrition and onto Valiant for now. This might be a light fixture with a blue teleporter-ish light in the middle of it. I don't need to make collision for it, so don't worry about that part.

That's not even close to Forerunner geometry. It's more human-organic-ish. In addition, I don't even recall a Forerunner map that contained light fixtures. =/

I've only paid close attention to illumination strips. A reference of a forerunner light fixture would be nice so that you actually have something to work with that doesn't look completely out of place.

...I could've sworn it was on "The Ark" somewhere, but I can't find any pics. Maybe it was a Covenant map...

Here's a style a user over at Modacity went for when it came to "light fixtures". They seem to fit.

Link

Also a Forerunner-styled scene that can easily produce enough light

I'm sure you could use this as some inspiration for lighting up a Forerunner room.

I don't need the light fixture to do the lighting, I need something to fill several large glass columns.
