No, I did close to the same thing as you. I dressed up in full black with a graduation robe over top and a masked hood that made it look like I had no face. I chained myself to a chair on my porch and sat completely still until someone bent over to get the candy at my feet, then I lunged towards them and hit a stick on a metal snow shovel behind me. I swear some people jumped completely off the ground.

At 8:30 I moved to my neighbor's porch to scare the people coming to her bonfire party. No one could figure out if I was just a prop or a reason person. They were tapping my shoulder and nudging me with their feet but I only hit the shovel if someone put their hand in the candy basket. You wouldn't believe how painful sitting absolutely still, half-breathing, for an hour gets, but it was worth it.

Next year I either want to get in a friend's van and drive around the neighborhood offering kids candy (XD) or get a chest harness with a cord on the back (like a bungie jumper's harness?) and then use some dark cord to hang myself in a tree in my front yard... then make a noose and put it around my neck and tighten the rope so its just long enough that it looks like it is tight.. so I'd be lynched up in my tree...


on a side note, wtf? half of the costumes in my local costume store had fake dicks hanging between their legs... if someone came to my door with one of those I would have loaded the paintball gun in my arms (went with my mask..) and shot him in the balls...

Last year two of the pumpkins' candles kept going out, the third pumpkin caught fire.
I was outside when it started burning so it was no big deal.

So instead, this year I setup some low voltage electric lighting for the two carved pumpkins.
Then took over from my dad and took my two brothers out for the last half of the trick or treating.

The lighting worked exactly as I needed first try, didn't short out and stayed bright, and I got a cut of the candy.

I went to a small LAN party the night before the last. It was fun to play Halo3 for the first time with 8 people at once. I never knew how fun it was, 4v4 CTF, 4v4 Slayer.
I also never knew how good of a pilot I am, I was giving air support on CTF and got a team member to mount in mid-air. Then I gave air support with a banshee and dodged every missile and a few spartan lasers(2 hit, 1 half-hit).

And yesterday I went with my dad to the shooting range, did pretty good, I need to find a heaver pistol because it has to much recoil and jams and a less powerful shotgun, 12 gauge is a bit much.

Finally got my car back!

I got my computer booting up I'm booting it into linux off a thumb drive because I don't have a hard drive for it yet. All I really have left that I'm going to get soon is a keyboard, hard drive, and probably a desk. Also I think I feel like programming again, and what better to work with than halo. Not sure if I wanna tinker around and write a program that runs on linux using C or java or what yet, but this computer has brought my nerdy side out again

Oh and the physics are awesome, they even got soft-body and good water physics.
