Yup pretty cool, problem is if you have a second player and he triggers his grenade it will make all the other grenades around explode :hmm:

I could make pretty decent terrain, never ported it to Halo2 though. What tool did you used to create those shadows on the texture?

I had Demonic make a light awhile back. Its all real time shadows.

Might continue a mod I called Frontlines or do something new with this here Ground Wars map. I realized that I wanted to be held by the bounds of my imagination and not by the bounds of some knock off mod of another game. The true factor of me being here is because its the best way for me to express my creativity, and I'm a pretty damn good modder. Like most my other mods its possible I will loose interest. I'm modding for my pleasure and not others. I like getting comments on my work, I try not to start drama, I was a troll for sometime, but that phase is simply over. I would enjoy to work with others on projects but the sad fact is, most people just don't want to work with others, don't have the time, or cant really keep up with me.
Like most my shit, I will try my absolute hardest not to have anything in the map that Bungie made.

Would you be recreating assets from Halo, or developing off of another theme/genre?

Those things are quite awesome, but I(pretty sure he did too) run into the shadows being casted from objects that were far from the light to be pretty crappy.

While on the subject of dynamic shadows:

Here is the bad effect I was speaking of:

This is why I like dynamic shadows, they add detail and awesomeness to the scene.

The graphics on the original xbox could only handle so much. And lights are one of the few things that can't be optimized well.

I know, the xbox was pretty good for the time, but things such as dynamic lighting is pretty demanding and like you said, can't being optimized without giving up looks.

That or injecting models has always been crappy, the smoothing is fucked up, if someone managed to do a proper model injector i would do some cool stuff for H2, but with the actual model injection tools no way.

Looks good. However it's gigantic.

No, with his model it is non-planars. The model gets auto smoothed anyway. You just have to separate them into different mesh groups.
