I would if I had time, but in 2 days I only barley had time to make the concept + high poly model / texture / render.
Took me a day and a half to make the lowpoly and get it ingame, I might take some time another day to make the fixes I pointed out, tired now :XD:

Thanks for your comments, appreciate =D

That shit is fucking cool and I congratulate you on this. Should custom bipeds become a possibility, I will definitely make you model a Mark V Spartan to suit that helmet.

Cool, is that a single model or multiple put together?

Its just for dev, lighting, placement, other things. Its something that inspires me to create things I would need in the development of a map.

You should turn the center into 2 triangles...

Pretty cool rock shader Dark, but yeah definitely make a simple plane for the ground it will save a lot of triangles.

Then you'd have a broken mesh. Needs to be this way for collision, right?

For the visual model you'd want to disconnect the edges for the middle plane, for a collision model you could reduce the polygon count anyway you wouldn't need so much detail for the physics but I don't think we know how to generate physical collision from 3D meshes.

I am pretty sure you can't use meshes for phmo, phmo consists of convex shapes, and simple shapes such as cube, sphere, pill, and other things like springs and ropes, if there is more then one shape in a single phmo you need to calculate the MOPP code, we would need sbsp to get collision with these sorts of meshes.

I think phmo has convex shapes too.

Interesting fact (sorta): While dual wielding, in the Halo 2 Beta, the right hand's Plasma Pistol charged bolt effect shows up, while left hand doesn't, and when not dual wielding, the charged bolt won't show at all. (not always true, the bolt will most of the time not show.)

Here are pictures of the mongoose. This had to be modded in, but it wasn't too difficult.

Here are some weapons that exist on the maps, but have to be modded in to use:

Image
- Flame thrower - Very very very crappy, that flame you see is as good as it gets, also no animations with the flamethrower.

Image
- Disintigrator - Pretty cool, never tested it on bipd though. Seems to have the range of a shotgun, and delivers pretty good damage. Seems to have been replaced with the more ranged sentinel beam.

Image
- Ghost blown up with desintgrator.

As for H2 Retail, if you look at the bitmaps, you will notice the disintigrator meter in ui\hud\bitmaps\new_hud\meters. That was the meter for what this gun was going to be.

I always found it kind of strange how on the map Yoyorast Island in Halo CE, there were the exact same mongooses but... they were fan made from what I knew, then all the sudden you find them here in the Halo 2 beta and in the continuing series. My question is, did bungie bum the idea off a fan or did they have plans of a mongoose starting way back into Halo 1?
