I suppose this is the right section to ask this.

Okay our CPU is 1.9 Dual Core and we are thinking of upgrading it. I was under the impression that you had to upgrade the whole motherboard to upgrade it. Is this the case or does it add onto the motherboard?

Thank's for whoever answers.

depends what motherboard you have, if you get a new processor with the same socket size as the old one it should be fine

One failure = test failure :XD:

Would it be cool to play on a motherboard?

"Where are you, man?"
"Around the RAM slots."

What game was it your cpu failed?

And when I tested to see if my pc could run crysis it failed in windows xp but passed in vista. In xp it failed the graphics memory part but since vista assigns more graphics memory that site site read my graphics card having 1.5GB even though it was only shared memory.

That game was Left 4 Dead do I have to upgrade motherboard or can I just do the processor?

@ Xzodia I sometimes have problems with some of the mods I just put it in compatibility mode for xp and run as admin most of time it works.

This is most likely a stupid question but can you have say a 1.9 core and a 3.0 core at the same time?

Well, maybe you don't have the correct drivers for it? And I don't think windows 7 would.

Who here can run COD WAW with all the graphics as high as it can go without the game getting some kind of error, meaning a crash or the sound just stopping?
