If someone builds prisoner from Halo 1...I cry, and get back into modding. Maybe.

I'd like to see a prisoner like they did with wizard, overgrowth and air lifts instead of ladders. I had pictured something like that hoping they would come out with dlc for it. Then they came out with warlock, they had the same vision as me, just the wrong map.

My Brute Mauler, I need to add detail. I will build up the model slowly. It will get better over time. I realize that some parts need some tweaking.

It looks like a nerf gun, you should leave the colors like that and shoot suction cups at people.

Well, I was bored so I made a map and game type in Halo3, it was energy swords only and it took about 3 or 2 hits to cut someone down, so I was thinking of making something similar for Halo2, because we can do much more in Halo2 then Halo3 at the moment.

And I was thinking for the humans, some sort of new energy sword, here is a concept I came up with.
MC's arm, a generator from the Sentinel beam, a little edits here in there and I got this thing:
Image

The Plasma Knife is a personal plasma based directed energy weapon developed through reverse-engineering of Forerunner Sentinel Beam weaponry, it matches the power of a Covenant Energy Sword and the weapon is mounted to the user's arm.

I was thinking the Human side is ODST soldiers and the Covenant side is "Elite Drones", Elite Drones are something I just made up to balance game-play, the Elite Drones are lower rank then the regular Elites, because of this the Elite Drones use Armor without shielding to save the resources for more important soldiers(The Elite Drones are a bit stronger then the ODST but the ODST are a bit faster).

Also, here are three concepts for the ADT.

(Note that the damage is the same, this is just model and weapon)
The first model is just a sentinel constructor, it would use a modified beam to hurt enemies.
The Second one is the Camera News Drone(seen in the first level) with a machine gun, probably automatic.
Image

This is not really a model that can replace the others, this is just the Covenant version, but it's a scaled down plasma cannon and it uses Elite Rangers' thrusters for keeping it in the air.
Image

When I release the regular ADT, the Covenant version is most likely going to be included, though you can apply ether one or both in your mod.

I really dislike the gun model on the ADT (2nd concept). It seems so boxy, and doesn't fit with the model at all. I can think of several designs that would work better. Can you consider using 3ds Max?

It does seem a bit boxy, I'll work on that now.

And no, because of three reasons:
1.Don't feel like learning an entire program and I already tried trial version.
2.Don't have the bandwidth, crappy internet, download too much and they cut my service...
3.It cost money and I am not a fan of obtaining software the "free" way.

Going to my Ant's house tomorrow for 4th of July, so I'll have great internet for a while(compared to my internet), will be downloading many files, I would get it if it wasn't for the third reason posted.

Back to work on the gun, better start up... Misfit... *Cries*

there are more free modeling programs than misfit...
Google sketch-up... never actually used it
AoI - Art of Illusion, java based 3d modeler, mostly stable.. I use this for my Onyx map(s): it has a great way to place and size boxes... other than that I have no idea how to use it.. but I build my map..grab sizes and co-ords, adjust as needed (Y=Z; size divided by 2) and then input into Onyx app, usually comes out good with a bit of tweaking due to errors here or there that are easily noticeable...especially with dual monitors I have Onyx on one monitor and full screen AoI on other, so if the object I placed doesn't look like it does in AoI then I know something's wrong

@ socrates:
I have tried Sketch-up, no good and "AoI" sounds to basic.

@ Zac

Amazingly, I can't think of any gun designs that look right... mind posting your thoughts?

Why not give us an idea of what you are looking for in the gun, such as maybe some pictures of designs you want to incorporate and maybe what its uses and features could be ;)

Ah, the same here, I can't come up with a gun design without it being to big, or just it not looking right, it just has to be a ballistic weapon(bullets not energy).

And I can't edit the mesh of the robot thing, or it won't inject with it's bones, animations, nodes, or UV Map... the gun is just going to be an attachment and it can't be too big...

Anyone here have any ideas?

The ADT's gun has to be an attachment because of the reasons stated above.

But it was just going to use 9.5x40mm rounds, same as the Battle rifle, so the damage is was going to be similar, but the firing rate was going to be different.

You think the player should be able to use it's weapon? I was thinking because there was no real advantages over the Battle Rifle, it was just going to give you a clip worth of rounds to the player, not the entire gun.

Also, Admins, sorry if it's getting off topic, but if you were going to delete them could you just move them to the ADT thread so I don't have to repeat myself, thanks.
