I find it more curious that the shadow will be cast from a different location every time you spawn

Re: Halo Photography
Indeed. I would have been more efficient if they had a value somewhere in the lightmap or global lighting that defined the heading and angle of the "light" rather than randomly generating such values.JacksonCougar wrote:I find it more curious that the shadow will be cast from a different location every time you spawn

Re: Halo Photography
Why would you make that? Thats a retarted moddification.
Like it could be turned into something cool, but why would you want words scrolling across the screen?

No, It was a test. I made a meter with no teeth in it. I have come close, but failed. This time it works. I am making a HUD and I will post tomarrow when its done... so that was the point of that.

It's all fine as long as you don't use the gradient tool in Photoshop.

Actually I did use the gradient tool. The thing is I used a Special method.NotZachary82 wrote:It's all fine as long as you don't use the gradient tool in Photoshop.

Re: Halo Photography
yep... I will get the the nade in a bit...
I'm still working on the ammo section... unless you think it looks fine the way it is.
EDIT: (Or update... I guess.)
I worked on the alpha a bit. I think the shield and health section is complete... Also, I switched the health and the shield (I injected the Health image into the shield tag and the shield into the Health tag.)

Still to come, the ammo meter section.

Re: Halo Photography
UPDATE:
Fixed the ammo meters, sized the ammo boxes down a bit...

Yet to be done, repositioning the Left weapon's BKD when you duel wield...

Re: Halo Photography
I think it would be more eye appealing if the ammo meters were on the right side of the weapon Bkd.

Re: Halo Photography
I don't think you're really considering where the components should go, but rather what you think looks "cool".
My main problem is not the way it looks, it's mainly the layout as well. You have the shield/health setup on the left, and the ammo setup on the right. That's just really weird to follow, mainly because each set of meters goes a different direction. Try evenly spacing them out, and try making them flow all in one direction (horizontal/vertical, etc.). Now that I think about it, I think that's why I like Halo 3's HUD so much.
That's me contributing.

Ok thanks; I'll take that into consideration.NotZachary82 wrote:I don't think you're really considering where the components should go, but rather what you think looks "cool".

Re: Halo Photography
Left hand weapon ammo meter box(left) is fail.
It's fail because when you're not dual wielding it's still there and empty.
There is a checkbox that will make a HUD element disappear when you are not dual wielding.
Use it.

I know.... It seems to be more of a WIP then just a simple HUD edit.... Well... I will get to all of those problems. And hopefully learn from them.DemonicSandwich wrote:Left hand weapon ammo meter box(left) is fail.

For fun hog wars.
And to maybe motivate people to mod more.
Alot can be done with child objects.
If i make a nice map for hog wars, and some fun vehis for the next gamer night, im sure ppl would play it.
